28.05.10 Jay Shepheard and Catz n' Dogz set for summer
London, 11h44, temperature 14°, humidity 68%, fair. July will see the release of a new Jay Shepheard single on Buzzin' Fly. Entitled 'Shelter' it comes with ace Catz n' Dogz (pic) remixes. Says Jay: 'Once I found the main organ sound - that arp hook - I knew straight away that I wanted to take this down an oldschool Detroit route.' Bolstered by classic 909 drum tones and a heartbreaker string melody, the track is indeed a killer future-retro slice of techno that has been rocking Buzzin' Fly parties in recent months. We will preview it on the radio show v soon.

10.05.10 Summer Party at Cable. June 26. Hot line-up.
London, 22h01, temperature 14°, humidity 63%, fair. Leaving behind our recent run of sell-out sweatbox parties of Plastic People, we step up into the newly relaunched Cable near London Bridge for a two-room midsummer affair with a line-up encompassing not only our own sound, but deep Swiss techno, Norwegian balearic disco and Parisian electro-pop.

In the main room, we welcome special guest, Ripperton. Hailing from Lausanne in Switzerland, Raphael Ripperton has inked his name as one of deep techno's cornerstone pioneers. He is joined by Buzzin' Fly head honcho, Ben Watt, and longtime sideman, Chris Woodward (fresh from recent success with his Beatport-busting 'Village Vanguard').

In the second room, hot on the heels of their recent acclaimed somophore album 'Left' (Buzzin' Fly), Parisian duo Mademoiselle Caro and Franck Garcia deliver a special back-to-back DJ set for the first time in London. Joining them are Ytre Rymden Dansskola. Meaning literally 'Outer Space Dancing School', the Norwegian cosmic disco duo are signed to Prins Thomas' uber-cool Full Pupp label, responsible for a superb debut album of low-tempo modern disco, and are currently recording with ace new Buzzin' Fly signings Flowers & Sea Creatures. Another London DJ debut.

London, 16h04, temperature 3°, humidity 85%, clear. After five cracking parties over the past five years, there will be no Buzzin' Fly party at WMC 2010 this year. Ben has just posted this personal message on Facebook which expalins all: "It is time I let you all know that we will not be staging a Buzzin' Fly party at WMC 2010. Although we had pencilled one in at the Shore Club, we have decided now not to go ahead this year. There are several reasons behind the decision, but uppermost are some personal family issues affecting me in March. Hope you all understand. Sorry to disappoint. Happy New Year. Ben."
