London ressie Chris Woodward gives us a tour round the inside of his head

"Looking back on my childhood one of my strongest memories is staring at Blondie's Blondie album cover for hours on end. My first ever DJ gig was at the Isobar in Manchester for 25 quid and 4 free beers. I first hooked up with Buzzin' Fly when I passed Ben a mix CD then spun records at Cherry Jam. My secret passion away from music is Russian Cold War fighter aircraft. DJing doesn't pay all the bills. During the week I sell music into adverts, videos, TV and t'internet. The future for clubland lies in the kids still digging house and techno. If I had a fully paid weekend off I would spend it in Madrid. A secret place in London I would recommend is Biddle Brothers in Clapton. Three under-rated dancefloor bullets are Lovebirds' 'Avlium", Hugo's 'The Sloop' and Solomun vs Ost/Kjex's 'Federgewicht'. DJs I would pay to see are Dix, Pedro & Johnny D. The best book ever written about music is 'Kill Your Friends' by John Niven. Looking ahead my plans for 2009 include more travel, more gigs, more production and much more red wine."
